Changing Public Perception of Online Public Education
Far too often, the public's perception of online public schools does not reflect reality. False assumptions about the reasons parents choose this option and the level of socialization for students hurt our cause.
The only way to change these stereotypes is for parents and students to share their story with elected officials, policymakers, and the media. To that end, CNN aired a great story, "Student finds success in cyber school", last week. It really captures the reasons Georgia parents are choosing online public schools for their children.
